St Helena Incident Executive Group (IEG) Update on COVID-19

Cllr Derek Thomas & Dr Kumar Tanyan joined Sharon Wade of the Breakfast Show on the 22nd December to provide an update on Covid-19 arrangements for Covid-19 control:
Key Points:
- Change of Januarys flight from Charter to Repatriation – changes to priority list considering the UK’s Essential Travel advice following the discovery of a more transmissible strain of Covid-19 in the UK.
- Home Quarantine will remain for January Flight.
- Further flights in 2021 will be subject to change – IEG will preplan but can change based on pertinent at the time.
- Known information on the new strain incubation period, vaccine & testing implications.
Arrangements for tests on arrival fand for those who test Positive for Covid-19.
